My Latest Dropped Domain Names

I had such lofty plans for so many domains in my once impressive portfolio. But I've been forced to cut back in many ways, including dropping lots of domain names. Here's a list of some names I've dropped recently, or are about to drop, from www.GoDaddy.com:

INTERNETINDUSTRY.INFO
EBAYAUCTION.TV
VERTICAL.WS
ALIVE.WS
DOWNLOADCENTER.US
BOTANICALESSENTIAL.COM
PROFITPURITY.COM
BRIDEUSA.NET
DEBTUSA.NET
DRUGSUSA.NET
SUPPORTUSA.NET
TAXESUSA.NET
CHATLIVE.WS
MAXFIORENTINO.COM
SUPPORTUSA.NET
GAYUSA.US

Enjoy!

Hi Steve

I have just started a "domains for sale" blog - only two domains on it though!

I think that only .com domains have real value these days. There are so many TLDs now that it is easy to find almost any suitable domain name if you are not worried about the TLD - making the .com flavour even more valuable. Do you agree?

.COM is still king, simply because Internet newbies often think that .COM is the one and only .TLD, so .COM's do get the type-in-traffic advantage.

However, if someone wants $500,000 for the .COM name you want, it makes sense to go for an alternative TLD, especially since Big G doesn't favor one TLD over another.

.TV names -- one of my favorite TLD's -- are moving. Check out this thread @ Namepros:

Hi - In the same boat as you - letting the adult things just ride and selling my domain portfolio (started in 1998) to pick up the differnce to pay the bills! I'm trying really hard not to buy NEW domains though! I'm going to put a blog or something up with my domains on it - maybe today!
Interesting read you have here - enjoyed it!

Steve Brown, this is an interesting blog. After all you got good money, now that you’re a dad it is good that you shift to something else. What did you settle on? Dot com will always remain the most popular extension as others have just said. However, dot net is gaining popularity also.

It's cool to see that you too have some .WS domains, I have noticed recently how hard it has become to register .COMs and .NETs and I decided to move on to .WS, it usually is easier to find the domain I want.

I think .co is gaining popularity I've been on the search for some good .co domain names, Think about it, .co is shorter then .com even though .com is king nothing is better then .com. But I do think .co domains are up there with .net and .org - check out my domains http://advermain.com/domains.html
